报告摘要：

Spatial interactions are considered an important factor influencing a variety of evolutionary processes that take place in structured populations. It still remains an open problem to fully understand evolutionary game dynamics on networks except for certain limiting scenarios such as weak selection. In this talk, I will present results on the evolutionary dynamics of spatial games under strong selection where strategy evolution of individuals becomes deterministic in a fashion of winners taking all. More specifically, convergence of evolutionary dynamics will be discussed and question will be answered if evolutionary games can lead to spatial chaos. Our finding holds for any population structure and a broad class of finite games beyond the Prisoner's Dilemma. Our work offers insights into understanding evolutionary dynamics of spatially extended systems ubiquitous in biology and ecology.

报告人简介：

Te Wu is an associate professor at Xidian University. He received his B.Sc. in Automation from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2007 and his Ph.D. in Dynamics and Control from Peking University in 2013. His research interests are in the fields of evolutionary game dynamics, artificial intelligence, complex networked systems, and mechanism design. He has authored more than 50 papers in academic journals such as Physical Review E, PLoS Computational Biology and New Journal of Physics. His work has been cited internationally over 1500 times.
