报告摘要:
The 2015 Paris Agreement was a milestone of global coordination for climate change issues. Motivated by the long negotiation process before the Paris Agreement, an opinion dynamics model with stubborn agents, named the concatenated Friedkin-Johnsen (FJ) model, is developed to describe the opinion evolution of a group of agents over sequential discussion events. The model can be represented by a time-varying product of stochastic transition matrices having a special form. Some novel sufficient/necessary conditions for achieving consensus are proposed, based on the so-called information flow graph. On the other hand, to describe the negotiation process strategically, a social power game is designed for the concatenated FJ model, so that the agents can change stubbornness to maximize their social power. Interestingly, it is shown that speaking more in early discussions is useful for each agent to obtain a higher social power. This can be further explained in term of a diminishing return law existing in the concatenated FJ model.

Lingfei Wang received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics from Nankai University in 2017, and the Ph.D degree from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS in 2022. He has visited the Division of Automatic Control in Linköping University, Sweden from 2019 to 2022. He is now a research fellow at the Division of Decision and Control Systems in KTH, Sweden. His research interests include social opinion dynamics, game theory and their applications in cyber-physical-human systems.
